First Blog Post

So, here it is... My first blog. I'm not really sure what I'm doing, but I'm sure I can figure it out. I've seen so many different blogs, and I think it's kinda cool.

I guess I'll start with telling you a little about how Cory and I met. I was on LDS Mingles. I was kind of starting to get sick of the whole internet dating sites and was not going to renew them after the first of the year. It was December 30, 2005 and this new guy that was pretty cute and matched me well created a new site. So, I sent him a flirt. I know... cheesy. But hey, worth a shot. So, the next day on New Years Eve, I went to my brother's house and signed in. He had sent me a flirt back. Then, I saw that he was online. For the first time ever, I started an instant message conversation. So, we started chatting, and after a few minutes, he said... I can I give you my number? I said, well, you can give it to me, but I won't call you. I seriously said that and was very honest from the beginning. Ha ha. So, he asked me if he could have my number. Normally after 5 minutes, I would NOT give out my phone number to a complete stranger, especially over the internet. But, I still had my Idaho phone number and I was living in Utah, so I figured if he's creepy, I could just change it. So, I gave it to him. After about a minute, he tells me over the IM that I didn't answer. I thought HOLY CRAP! He's called me already! When does that ever happen??? So, I ran upstairs and got my phone. He called me again. So, I answered and we hit it off. He made me laugh and we talked for about 40 mintues.

As it was New Year's Eve, and the last day he was going to be in Utah (he lived in Georgia at the time) he had plans with his family, and I had plans with mine. He asked me if he could call me later. I, of course had NO problem with that. He called me on his way to SLC and I was just getting ready to go to dinner. We were talking for another 20 minutes. I remember the feeling I had at dinner and my mom must have thought that I was crazy. I could not stop smiling and thinking about him. My mom was saying things like, you don't even know him and you just barely met. Give it time. But I guess in the back of my head I was thinking "this is different this time. I really like him." So we leave dinner and play games with my brother. When we left after the New Year had been rung in, and we were on our way home, it was 12:30 am and my phone rang. It was him! He had called to wish me a Happy New Year! It was the cutest thing ever and I was so excited! Well, we stayed up the entire night talking on the phone. We talked for 7 hours straight. My mom woke up and came out and I was still on the phone. She asked "Still or again?" I said still and she just shook her head and turned on Fox News.... so my mom. Well, at about 7:30, he said that he had to go get ready to catch the plane. He asked if he could call me later! I know that this sounds crazy, but I knew that he was the one... I had never met him, and it had only been one night, but I just knew it. We got to know each other so well. We even found out that we lived right down the street from each other and went to the same schools in American Fork years before. I was even in his yearbook. Crazy.

Well, he called me when he got to the airport and stayed on the phone til he boarded the plane. Then, he called me from his layover, and when he got to GA. Over all, we talked about 519 hours. Holy cow! Well, on the third day, I had kind of weirded myself out, because I knew I loved him. It scared me to be honest. I hadn't even met him and it was strange how you can miss someone so bad that you've never even met. I prayed about it and it just felt right immediately. So, that night, I got all quiet and he knew something was wrong. He just kept asking me what was wrong. Eventually i just got the guts up to tell him. I said... I think I'm falling in love with you. You know what he said??? He said "you think? Because I already know that I love you!" It was so amazing and I will never forget the feeling.

He moved to Utah on February 24, 2006. I was so stinking excited. He ended up having car problems and not getting in until after midnight. I drove down to American Fork, about 30 minutes by myself at midnight to see him. My mom was petrified of course, but I was fine. We met and it was kind of weird at first. Only weird because he sounded completely different on the phone than he did in person, and it just was weird. We went to I-Hop because it was the only thing open and sat there and he ate and I had hot chocolate. He was so sweet and I just loved him.

We stayed out until 3 am. The very next morning I went to go see him again. I met his parents and he met my mom. My dad was still in Pocatello. We all just hit it off and I was happy. We had already talked about getting married and since he was married before, I didn't want to rush him into it. I told him that when he was ready he could do it. So we dated and dated. We did everything together. After 8 months of steady dating plus the 2 months of talking on the phone before we called each other boyfriend/girlfriend, he proposed.

It was October 29th, 2006. We were watching The Man with Samuel L Jackson and Eugene Levy. He stopped the movie in the middle and went upstairs. I thought he was just going to get something to eat or something. He came downstairs and started messing with the cds. He pulled me up off the floor and asked me to dance. I didn't think that it was unusual because he cleared a space on the floor and asked me to dance a few months back. It was so romantic. So, he put on our song and we started dancing. He held me close and just hugged me and danced. Then our song ended and he kept dancing. He told me that he loved me. Then the next thing I know, he's down on one knee. He said "Pamela Sue Wilson, I love you so much. Will you marry me?" You know what I said?!?! "Are you serious?" I started laughing and then he pulled out the ring. It was his Grandma's ring. I was so excited. I said yes. We called everyone and it was so amazing. We set the date that night for June 20, 2007. And that is when we got married! I love him so much. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Our wedding was amazing... just perfect. Our colors were pink and brown. And he was so great about wearing pink. Haha... he said that it is the only time he would do it so I better take advantage of it while I can. I honestly love Cory so much. It was so cute when I was walking down the aisle. He was up front, and looking so handsome in his tux. He was perfect. Tears in his eyes and I knew it was right. I looked up at him and all I could think of was how happy I was and how lucky I was. I was so excited to be with him for the rest of our lives. I was really so excited, I couldn't stop smiling. I was almost giddy. I love him so much. Check out the pictures of our wedding on the slideshow at the bottom of my blog.
